Premier League players prepare for May training return

The Daily Mail reports that Premier League players could return to normal training in May as clubs begin to reduce their remote schedules.

Instructions sent to players include being prepared to resume full activity at 48-hours notice, and to expect remote training schedules to be reduced by May 4 ahead of a return to training.

Tottenham help with NHS testing

After performing a u-turn on plays to furlough their non-playing staff, Tottenham have now set up a coronavirus testing centre at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for NHS staff.

The club had imposed a 20 per cent reduction in salary for all 550 non-playing staff, with around 40 per cent furloughed using the government's coronavirus job retention scheme.

The decision was met with widespread criticism with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters' Trust (THST) urging chairman Daniel Levy - who earned £7million last year - to make a "further personal contribution" to the staff affected.
