Coronavirus has reached every area of South Ayrshire as cases continue to rise.
Girvan remains the Covid capital a week after a testing centre was open to deal with an increase in infection rates.
The town has seen a further spike in cases over the past week giving it the highest rate of infection per 100,000 of population.
The Ayrshire Post revealed how COVID-19 cases soared to 400+ per 100,000 in both Girvan areas of Ailsa and Glendoune.
But this week those numbers have risen further, with Girvan recording 27 positive cases between January 9 and January 15.
The grim stats have shown that Girvan now has a case rate of 846 per 100,000, with cases showing an increase from 14 last week.
Meanwhile, cases in Girvan Glendoune have staggered slightly with 12 confirmed giving an infection rate of 375.5 per 100,000.
A mobile testing unit was set up for residents who were displaying symptoms at the Quay Zone site in Knockcushan Street.
Elsewhere, cases in Prestwick Airport and Monkton have rocketed with the area now with the second-highest infection rate in South Ayrshire.
In the same week, 21 cases were confirmed in the area giving it a rate of 675 per 100,000.
Cases have also increased in Troon with 14 positive tests recorded.
The number of positive cases still remain high in Ayr, with 82 cases recorded across eight areas.
In Lochside, Braehead and Whitletts, the rate of infection remains high with 13 cases recorded.
The virus was suppressed in Craigie last week with 0-2 cases recorded but now four have been confirmed meaning every area of South Ayrshire is Covid positive.
