A Scots mum has recreated Christmas in a bid to brighten up her children's lives during the coronavirus pandemic.
Mum-of-three Laurina Gallacher said her kids were feeling very anxious about the Covid-19 outbreak, so she decided to cheer them up with some festive fun.
Laurina, from Netherton, Wishaw, who is mum to Nathan, 17, Eva 13, and Mia 11, has decked the house out with Christmas decorations, including the tree.
She's even projected a Christmas scene onto her front window for her neighbours to enjoy too.
The 43-year-old said: "A few reasons made me think about doing it.
"People were running around stressed and panicking about what’s going on.
"The shops were crazy busy and running out of things.
"The weather was really cold and my children were worried about what they were hearing at school and on the news, as like all of us they've never experienced anything like this.
" Christmas is a really happy time for us as a family, we always have our tree up by December 1st. We love it and I thought what better way to cheer everyone up at such a scary time."
As well as putting tree up, the family, including Laurina's husband John, have been baking gingerbread men and have spent the last few days binging their favourite Christmas movies.
Housewife Laurina added: "As soon as I put the tree up and we started doing all our favourite Christmas things, the whole atmosphere in our house changed.
"The kids are finding it so funny and the neighbours and not in the slightest bit surprised.
"The neighbour across the road tells the children they need to behave because the elves have moved into the Gallacher house."
