Coronavirus: Scots death toll hits 172 as Ayrshire cases increase

Confirmed cases of coronavirus in Ayrshire have jumped 19 overnight - as the Scotland-wide death toll hits 172.

A total of 240 people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the region – up from 221 yesterday.

Across Scotland, 172 people have died from coronavirus and 3001 have now tested positive.
