Coronavirus Scotland: Three more deaths recorded as cases rise by 1,115

Three more deaths have sadly been announced as a result of coronavirus, the Scottish Government confirmed.

Meanwhile, a further 1,115 positive cases have been recorded across the country.

416 of the new cases were registered in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde region, with 245 in Lanarkshire.

1,245 people remain in hospitals across Scotland with the virus.

The Scottish Government this afternoon (Sunday) confirmed:

  • 1,115 new cases of COVID-19 reported
  • 3 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends)
  • 111 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
  • 1,245 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
  • 17,229 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results – 7.3% of these were positive
