Today is probably the last day of school for many children in North Ayrshire as measures are stepped up to contain the coronavirus.
Children leaving P7 and secondary school will be missing out on so much, not only on exams and schoolwork, but many other milestones which are just as important to them – school trips, holidays, proms, sports days and parties.
We understand children and parents must have mixed feelings about today.
But it is still a special day which should be marked.
So if you have a P7 leaver or a secondary school student leaving school, why not send us their picture with a few details and we’ll feature them in the paper next week?
