Coronavirus Scotland: Police launch new form to report Covid-19 breaches

Police Scotland have launched a new online form for people to report others breaking coronavirus restrictions.

Mainland Scotland is currently under level four restrictions, making it illegal to travel between other local authorities, or invite people over to your house without an essential reason.

With the online form Scots can report everything from a gathering to individuals or businesses not wearing a face covering.

It comes as Police Scotland warned people not to call 101 or 999 to report coronavirus breaches, tweeting that "Misuse of 101 and 999 could cost lives."

Police Scotland said in a statement: "Our online reporting form for reporting #COVID19 breaches is now live."

"Make sure you understand the rules around gatherings for your area, via The Scottish Government, before you get in touch with us."

In a separate post, they added: " Don't call 101 or 999 for guidance on #COVID19 restrictions. Misuse of 101 and 999 could cost lives You can report an ongoing breach of COVID-19 restrictions in Scotland using our online form."

You can check out the form here.
