Coronavirus Scotland: no new deaths as 758 cases confirmed

No new deaths have been recorded the Scottish Government have confirmed as they announced 758 new coronavirus cases across the country.

266 of the cases were recorded in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde region, with 138 in Lanarkshire.

22 people remain in intensive care with covid-19, with a total of 210 people in hospital.

The overall number of positive cases in Scotland now stands at 32,209.

The Scottish Government confirmed:

  • 758 new cases of COVID-19 reported; this is 12.1% of newly tested individuals
  • 0 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive (noting that Register Offices are now generally closed at weekends).
  • 22 people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
  • 210 people were in hospital yesterday with recently confirmed COVID-19
  • 14,094 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results
