Coronavirus Scotland: Nine new cases confirmed as hospital deaths remain at 2,488

Nine new cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Scotland over the last 24 hours.

Due to a technical issue the Scottish Government is not able to publish figures regarding the number of deaths related to the virus on July 4.

It means the hospital death toll remains at 2,488.

The number of positive cases has risen to 18,296 which is an increase of nine from Saturday’s figures.

A statement on the government website read: "Due to a technical issue, the number of deaths reported on 4 July is not yet available. We will update this as soon as we can."
