Coronavirus Scotland latest: masks in museums, libraries and places of worship now mandatory

Libraries, museums and places of worship have been added to list of places where face masks are mandatory in Scotland.

Nicola Sturgeon announced the new measures in today's daily coronavirus briefing.

She also says that visors on its own aren't sufficient to protect against the virus, so from tomorrow (8 August), if a visor is worn it should be accompanied with a different kind of face covering.

The First Minister also announced that a further 43 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in the last 24 hours -  27 of these are in the Grampian health board area.

Nicola Sturgeon also says that premises should be keeping contact details, where ever possible people should be encouraged to book in advance and there should be no queueing.

She also reminded pubs that there should be no background music or volume from televisions as that can cause people to have to shout over each other or lean in in order to be heard.
