The number of people who have died after contracting the coronavirus in Scotland has risen to 837, it has been announced today.
That is an increase of 58 from yesterday.
In the Ayrshire and Arran region another 33 people have tested positive for coronavirus.
The confirmation means that the total number of confirmed people with the deadly virus in the region has risen to 536.
Data released by the Scottish Government also shows 119 residents are in hospital in the region, with 11 of those currently in intensive care.
A total of 7,409 people have now tested positive in Scotland - a daily rise of 307.
In this country 184 patients who tested positive were in intensive care last night.
So far 36,637 tests have been conducted in Scotland with 29,228 of them coming back as negative.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the new figures at a press conference at St Andrew's House earlier today.
The National Records of Scotland figures show 237 deaths registered which mentioned coronavirus have been of residents inside nursing home facilites.
The announcement comes after it was revealed there would be a further three-week extension to the lockdown currently in place across the United Kingdom.
Nicola Sturgeon said she would deviate from the UK Government's lockdown measures if her advisers told her it was in the best interests of her country.
