Coronavirus Scotland: Eleven new cases registered in Ayrshire as Scotland records another 154 positive tests

A further 11 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Ayrshire & Arran during the past 24 hours.

Data released by the Scottish Government this afternoon revealed the total number of positive cases in the region now stands at 1,359.

It comes as 154 new cases of coronavirus in Scotland were registered since yesterday.

The Government confirmed the total number of positive cases now stands at 20,632.

There have been no new deaths meaning the total number of deaths since the start of the pandemic in Scotland remains at 2,494.

A total of 264 people are currently being treated in hospital with six people in intensive care.

It follows yesterday's announcement by Nicola Sturgeon that an incident management team is dealing with a cluster of cases in the Ayrshire region.

A total of 22 positive cases have been linked to "indoor gatherings" which took place last weekend.
