Coronavirus Scotland: contact tracing rolled out at Clarkston's Williamwood High School

Contact tracing has been rolled out at Williamwood High School in Clarkston, the NHS have confirmed.

Parents and carers of children at the school received a letter from NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde earlier today.

The NHS told Glasgow Live there is no evidence of internal transmission of coronavirus in the south Glasgow school as it stands.

All close contacts have been advised to self-isolate as a precaution.

The news comes as a further 101 covid cases were confirmed in the Greater Glasgow and Clyde region.

However, Nicola Sturgeon says indications are the current Glasgow lockdown restrictions are slowing the increase of new coronavirus cases in the region.

Limits on household meetings are currently in place in Glasgow City, East and West Dunbartonshire, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, North and South Lanarkshire and were extended for a further week last night.
