Coronavirus Scotland: Conspiracy poster claiming 'there's no pandemic' appears in Musselburgh

A conspiracy poster at a bus stop in East Lothian has been reported to police this afternoon after causing concern among locals.

The poster, which is located at a bus stop on Pinkie Road, Musselburgh, instructs people 'not to comply' with the latest lockdown and claims that there "is no pandemic."

One concerned local shared the poster online, tagging Edinburgh Police and posting: " @policescotland can anything be done about this which someone I follow on Twitter has highlighted?"

(Handout)

The poster reads: "Do not comply to the new lockdown. The PCR tests are 100 per cent inaccurate. Open your eyes, open your ears. Listen to your heart not the government's lying, spin machine.

"There is no pandemic."

Locals responded with frustration to the poster, with one person writing online: "That’s so sad and absolutely 100 per cent out of order.

"Probably worth reporting to the police, but not sure if there’s any offence. Maybe the person who posted it could be done for being out for no valid reason?"

"Hope you binned it!," added another.

Edinburgh Live has reached out to Police Scotland for comment.
