A further two people in Ayrshire have died from coronavirus as daily cases numbers in the region edge towards single figures.
The deaths, in East Ayrshire and South Ayrshire, were among five reported across Scotland in the last 24 hours.
A further 13 confirmed cases of the disease were confirmed in the NHS Ayrshire and Arran health board region over the same period, bringing the total for the pandemic to 16,647.
The number of Covid patients in Ayrshire hospitals remains at 20 while fewer than five people are receiving treatment in intensive care.
Nationally, 289 new cases have been reported across the country.

There are currently 191 people in hospital; 21 in ICU.
