Coronavirus Scotland: 60 new cases across country including nine in Glasgow region

The Scottish Government has announced 60 new cases of coronavirus have been recorded across the country in the past 24 hours.

However, no deaths on account of covid-19 have been recorded.

Nine of the 60 new positive cases have been recorded in the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde region.

Meanwhile, 39 of the cases are in the NHS Grampian area as the cluster in Aberdeen continues to grow.

Overall, There have been 305 positive tests nationally this week.

The Scottish Government confirmed, in the past 24 hours:

  • 60 new confirmed cases of COVID-19; this is 1.3% of newly tested individuals.
  • 0 new reported death(s) of people who have tested positive.
  • 3 people were in intensive care last night with confirmed COVID-19.
  • 261 people were in hospital with confirmed COVID-19.
  • 14,637 new tests for COVID-19 that reported results.
