Coronavirus Scotland: 575 die from virus as confirmed cases reach 6,067

575 people have now died from coronavirus in Scotland  - an increase of 9 deaths overnight.

The number of confirmed cases has risen to 6,067 up 155 from Sunday.

The First minister confirmed the figures from Tayside health board, and Ayrshire and Arran health board are not available, and figures will be much higher.

A total of 211 Scots are in intensive care receiving treatment, it has been confirmed.

Of the confirmed positive cases, 1,797 people are in hospital which is an increase of 42.

Nicola Sturgeon will not allow "impatience" at the lockdown "to do the damage that we've been trying to prevent" (PA)

The Easter Monday figures come after First Minister Nicola Sturgeon urged Scots to continue to follow lockdown protocols over the long weekend.

She said: "I know how hard it is for people to do that, it will seem even harder over this Easter holiday weekend, especially for families with children and indeed for the children themselves and for older people who would normally be spending time with their grandchildren.
