A total number of 50 patients remain in intensive care units, which has fallen by one.

The latest coronavirus statistics were announced by the First Minister to MSPs in the Scottish Parliament at Holyrood.

It comes as Nicola Sturgeon announces a four-phase plan of Scotland’s exit from lockdown restrictions - more than nine weeks after they were first imposed.

Figures published this week showed Scotland’s weekly deaths from the virus had fallen for a third week in a row.

National Records of Scotland figures revealed that there were 332 deaths relating to the disease registered between May 11-17.
