A further 1,149 people in Scotland have been diagnosed with the coronavirus as the nation's vaccination programme continued to be ramped up today.
The figures have been produced this afternoon by the Scottish Government as part of its national COVID-19 daily briefing.
And they come as more people are being inoculated. Across Scotland, as of 8.30am this morning, a total of 694,347 people had received the first dose of their Covid vaccine with 9,031 having received their second dose.
A further 53 patients, including five people from the NHS Ayrshire & Arran health board region, have died after contracting Covid which means 6,322 people have tragically passed away since March.
However, data from the National Records of Scotland (NRS) shows 8,347 deaths had been registered up to Sunday, January 31 where the disease was mentioned on the death certificate. Across the UK, the figure was 109,335 as of last night.
The number of positive coronavirus cases recorded by NHS Ayrshire & Arran increased by 60 to 13,721.
There are 14 people, within the health board's region, in intensive care with confirmed COVID-19 which is the same figure as yesterday.
In addition, the number of people in hospital with confirmed coronavirus at midnight was 221 which is down eight from yesterday.
In terms of the rolling seven-day infection rate per 100,000 population, North Ayrshire stood at 173.7 as of Wednesday, February 3. In East Ayrshire, it was 165.6 while it was 122.5 in South Ayrshire.
A total of 183,418 positive tests have been recorded since the end of February from 1.585 million tests carried out.
