Coronavirus response latest as Dublin Bus offering shuttle bus service to frontline healthcare workers

Dublin Bus are offering a shuttle service to healthcare workers to give them much needed support to their coronavirus response.

The public transport company are offering assistance for front line employees in the Mater Hospital, where they can be transported to and from Croke Park.

The GAA headquarters is being used as a ‘drive-thru’ testing centre for the COVID-19 outbreak, as part of the effort to determine how many people have been infected in the country.

The buses are operating from Jones Road at Croke Park every 15 minutes, from 7am to 10am and from 3.45pm to 7.45pm.

They will be picking medical staff up at the Mater Hospital (Whitty Building) every 30 minutes from 8pm to 9.30pm.

The service is available seven days a week, subject to change as the outbreak develops.

A further 30,000 COVID-19 testing kits are expected to arrive in Ireland on Thursday.
