Coronavirus related deaths in NI: 15 further fatalities recorded, say Department of Health

A further 15 people have died in Northern Ireland from Coronavirus.

According to the latest report from the Department of Health, the death toll due to Covid-19 here now stands at 278.

The latest recorded deaths occurred between April 22 and 23, say the Department.

The latest figures also show a further 106 positive cases have been identified in Northern Ireland.

To date 17,872 patients have been tested for the virus here. At present 34 patients with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 are in ICU.

Earlier today, the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency recorded 64 previously unreported Covid-19 related deaths.
