Coronavirus Recoveries in Gulf Countries Outnumber Infections

Recoveries from the novel coronavirus outnumber the rate of infections in each of Kuwait and Qatar, while in Saudi Arabia, the recoveries and cases are almost equal in numbers

Saudi Arabia reported on Monday 1,881 new cases, bringing its total to 87,142. The Ministry of Health said 22 new deaths have been reported, taking the toll to 525.

Kuwait reported eight new deaths, taking the toll to 220, and 1,513 recoveries, raising the total to 12,899. The health ministry reported 719 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the number of infections to 27,762.

Bahrain recorded 406 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours. Of the new infections, 140 were among foreign workers, while 266 people contracted the disease after coming in contact with other patients.

Qatar confirmed 1,523 new cases of COVID-19, 3,147 new recoveries and two deaths in the past 24 hours. Recoveries now stand at 33,437.

Oman announced 786 new positive cases, which brought the total to 12, 223 and 50 deaths.
