Three areas in England are showing a worrying increase in coronavirus cases over a seven-day period.
Figures released today for the seven days to August 25, are based on Covid-19 tests carried out in laboratories and in the wider community.
The rate is expressed as the number of new cases per 100,000 people with Pendle recording the highest rate in England with 52.
This is the equivalent of 56.5 per 100,000 people but it is down from 68.4 which was recorded last week.
The rate in Blackburn with Darwen is 54.1, down from 58.8, with 81 new cases and Oldham is third, where the rate has fallen from 75.1 to 54.0, with 128 new cases.

However three areas in England have seen a spike in cases in seven days.
Kettering is up from 16.7 to 38.3, with 39 new cases, Redditch has seen an increase from 4.7 to 36.4, with 31 new cases, and with 87 cases Hackney & City of London has risen from 12.0 to 29.9.
The list has been calculated by the PA news agency and is based on Public Health England data published on August 28 on the Government's coronavirus online dashboard.
But the data for the most recent three days (August 26-28) has been excluded as it is incomplete and likely to be revised.
Today the UK death toll increased by 9 - with a further 1,276 people testing positive for the virus.
This brings the total number of deaths in the UK to 41,436 and a recorded 331,644 cases.
The number of deaths in the UK is down from yesterday's figure of 12.
