Coronavirus: Priest accidentally turns on filters during livestream mass leaving viewers in hysterics

A priest in Italy has gone viral after he accidentally turned on video filters during a livestream of his mass.

The unidentified man attempted to conduct a service online, but ended up suffering some technical difficulties, giving much needed amusement to viewers.

Standing beside a giant cross and an altar, dressed in his robes, he begins conducting his service, reports the Irish Mirror.

As he does so, animated glitter can be seen falling down the screen.

This then abruptly changes and he appears to have some kind of space helmet over his head.

Several more filters are seen during the clip, including weights and flowers.

The whole thing ends with a dark hat and glasses filter.

A Twitter  user named Gavin Shoebridge spotted the entertaining clip and shared it on his profile.

He wrote: "In Italy today, a priest decided to live-stream a mass due to COVID-19. Unfortunately he activated the video filters by mistake."

The video has amassed over 31,000 likes so far, with many taking the time to comment.

One person replied: "I love this so much. I’m not a churchgoer, but I appreciate the effort they’re making for their congregation, despite the fact that they might be technically challenged."

Another said: "Technical difficulties won't stop him. He's on a mission from God."

A third added: "I woke up my wife to watch this, she has had to blow her nose twice from laughing so hard... My throat hurts so much. I can't go into our bedroom, I am still giggling and am afraid to wake up our 5 week old son."

"Lord, forgive me for laughing," proclaimed someone else.

A different user tweeted: "Laughter is the best medicine. Omg. So funny!!"
