Coronavirus: Piers Morgan sets up home studio in case he needs to self-isolate away from Good Morning Britain

Piers Morgan has set up a TV studio in his home in case he needs to self-isolate while continuing to present Good Morning Britain.

Morgan has been presenting the ITV breakfast show from its typical west-London location despite the country’s coronavirus lockdown.

He revealed on Instagram that he was taking necessary precautions in case he needs to self-isolate, however.

Alongside a picture of his daughter sat in front of a television camera, Morgan wrote: “Elise Morgan reporting live from her father’s office, via the new self-isolation @gmb camera kit (should I need it…)”

Morgan’s Instagram followers were also interested in the contents of his office, with many noting the amount of books on the shelf behind Elise.

“I see lots of the same titillating publication on the top shelf!” wrote one follower. A second asked: “Why does every person who is doing news reports always have shelves full of books in the background?”

Another added: “Whenever I see a celeb doing a Skype call all I’m doing is judging their interior design!! Andrew Castle has a lovely kitchen.”

Morgan was this week re-joined on the Good Morning Britain sofa by regular co-presenter Susanna Reid, who returned from self-isolating at home as a precaution against the illness.

Morgan also revealed yesterday (1 April) that his 19-year-old son Albert may have had coronavirus, after he lost his sense of taste and smell.
