Prime Minister Boris Johnson appeared on Good Morning Britain from outside 10 Downing Street to make his first live TV appearance after recovering from coronavirus on Monday morning.
And GMB host Piers Morgan acknowledged that no "clear pathway" was "laid out" about "what was happening next" after Johnson addressed the country during the morning show.

Speaking after the speech, Piers said : " Boris Johnson back at work, addressing the nation, telling us to keep our resolve, thanked the British public for the lockdown measures being observed by the majority and said we are beginning to turn the tide but now is the time of maximum risk.
"But no clear pathway laid out by the prime minister there as to what exactly is going to happen next."
Then Piers and Susanna were forced to wrap up their segment of the show as time was up.

The show then returned with host Lorraine Kelly who gave her diagnosis of Boris as she said he looked "peaky" after his hospitalisation for COVID-19.
During the morning address, Boris thanked the country for their "guts" in following the guidelines as the UK battle the deadly bug.
He told that the country are making progress with fewer hospital admissions and "signs that we are passing through the peak" which he praised the nation for.

Comparing the virus to a criminal attacker, he said: "We have began together to wrestle it to the floor but that we are at the moment of maximum risk."
He said that social distancing measures still needed to be followed but also spoke on how the economy needs to be protected during the long term consequences of lockdown but that it is a fine balance between managing a second peak of COVID-19 as well as nurturing the economy.

He pleaded for everyone to be patient and promised that once we avoid a second peak that the country will begin to gradually refine restrictions.
Boris said he cannot tell "how fast or slow or when the process will happen" but promised that his "working and thinking" will be transparent with the British population.
"Preparations are underway for us to win phase two of this fight"
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
