Coronavirus pandemic forces Illinois Little League to cancel state tournaments

The Illinois Little League has canceled all baseball and softball state tournaments for this season.

In a statement, the organization said it could not overcome the logistics of hosting tournaments while following health protocols to fight the coronavirus pandemic.

The state organization said several local Little Leagues still plan on having a regular season.
