Coronavirus outbreak: ICW Glasgow wrestling show set to go ahead as planned

Wrestling promotion ICW have announced that their upcoming Glasgow show will go ahead as planned despite the ongoing coronavirus outbreak.

Commenting on a post on their Facebook page relating to the show, they said: "We have no intention of cancelling this show, we will cap the capacity at under 500 to make sure this can go ahead."

The show, entitled So's Yer Maw 3, is scheduled to take place at The Garage on April 5. It is designed to coincide with the sport's biggest event, WrestleMania, taking place that same night and headlined by Scotland's own and former ICW World Champion Drew McIntyre.

WrestleMania is still scheduled to go-head at the time of writing, with officials from Tampa convening Thursday to consider a possible delay if WWE don't do so themselves before hand.

ICW's show in Newcastle next Sunday appears to also be going ahead as planned, although there has been no confirmation either way at this stage.

The Coronavirus outbreak has wreaked havoc of the wrestling industry, with several independent companies being forced to cancel shows.

Yesterday, Irish promotion OTT cancelled their annual ScrapperMania event for this Sunday, which was set to draw around 2,000 fans to Dublin.
