Coronavirus | Over six lakh vaccinated so far

The cumulative number of healthcare workers vaccinated against COVID-19 is 6,31,417 (till 6 p.m. on Tuesday) through 11,660 sessions, as per a provisional report. A total of 3,800 sessions were held till 6 p.m., noted a release issued by the Health Ministry.

It stated that 1,77,368 beneficiaries were vaccinated till 6 p.m. on Tuesday, the fourth day of the nationwide vaccination and final reports would be completed for the day by late night.

“A total of nine AEFI [adverse events following immunization] required hospitalisation. In Delhi, three cases have been discharged, whereas one is under observation at the Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Shahdara. One case from Uttarakhand has been discharged. In Karnataka, one person is discharged and another person is stable and under observation at the District Hospital, Chitradurga. In Chhattisgarh, one person is discharged, while in Rajasthan, one case is of suspected anaphylaxis is fine and under observation at the District Hospital, Bangar,’’ said the Ministry.
