Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Stay at home for Reece

He's just 11 years old, but Reece Magill is uriging everyone to stay home to help him and others stay safe.

The schoolboy from Glengormley, Co Antrim was diagnosed with leukaemia in 2017 and is receiving gruelling cancer therapy.

And because his immune system is under pressure, having suffered pneumonia and pancreatitis.

So in a bid to try to get better for good, he he made a video to ask everyone to remember to stay home.

He said: "I've been in ICU and me and my family do not want to go back there. Like me there are many other vulnerable people, like my granny and granda and your grannyand granda.

"It is really important to stay inside - please do it for me, do it for you and do it for everyone."

"Please listen to the government and what the people are saying: wash you hands for 20 seconds with hot soapy water and self-isolate.

"This will help contain the Coronavirus and help keep me safe and people like me."

Reece's mum Joleen said: "My gorgeous boy is just asking people to stay indoors self-isolate and keep safe. He has not braved all the awful health problems from allergic reactions to pancreatitis and pnuemonia while fighting cancer, to risk his life with a virus. Please stay home. It could be life and death for someone you love or someone I love if you don't."
