Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Map shows confirmed cases of Covid-19 by Local Government District

The Public Health Agency has issued more detail on the ongoing Covid-19 crisis in Northern Ireland.

And in their breakdown, officials have outlined the number of confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Northern Ireland by Local Government District.

The data reveals that there have been 40-60 confirmed cases in the Belfast district, the highest statistics to date.

The Department of Health says there have been 24 new positive cases of Covid-19 in Northern Ireland since yesterday.

In a statement they said: "As of 6pm on Tuesday 24 March, testing has resulted in 24 new positive cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in Northern Ireland to 172.

"To date, five people who tested positive have sadly died.

"A patient who was in their eighties and had underlying health conditions has sadly died at Antrim Hospital.

"In addition, an earlier death has also been confirmed as Covid-19 related."

A total number of 2989 Coronavirus tests have been carried out in Northern Ireland of which 2817 returned negative.

Of the confirmed cases, 59 of which were in the 0-44 age range, 59 in the 45-69 age range and 54 in the aged 70+ category.

Figures also revealed that 76 females and 96 males have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Northern Ireland.
