Coronavirus Northern Ireland: LEGO issue important message to children this Easter weekend

Children across the UK will understandably be feeling some confusion during the current Covid-19 pandemic - and LEGO have come together to help explain the situation.

In a video released through the UK Government's social media on Saturday, it shows LEGO characters outlining some important advice for kids during the Easter weekend.

The main character calls on the children to 'be heroes' and help save lives.

He says: "This year, the Easter Bunny is asking for a new hero to step up. You. Yes, YOU"

"And being a hero has never been easier. Your superpowers include: staying home, protecting our NHS, and saving lives.

"Be a hero... have a family movie night. Be a hero... stay two metres apart. Be a hero... wash your hands for 20 second. Be a hero... use a tissue. Be a hero... share your rainbow.

"And by staying home, you're helping the NHS continue to be heroes and to save lives to. I promise you'll be back outside again. This situation won't last forever, but you will FOREVER be a hero. So stay home to save lives this Easter holiday."
