Coronavirus Northern Ireland latest DoH figures show two further deaths and more than 1,000 new cases

Two further Covid-19 related deaths have been reported in Northern Ireland in the last 24 hours, according to the Department of Health.

The latest update on Saturday afternoon, October 17 brings the total Covid-19 related death toll, as recorded by the DoH to 610.

In the last 24 hours, a further 1,031 people have also tested positive for the virus. Over the last seven days, 6,891 individuals have returned a positive result after testing.

At present there are 27 Coronavirus patients in ICU beds here, 22 of those patients are on ventilators, leaving 20 ICU beds unoccupied.
