Coronavirus Northern Ireland latest: 11 further deaths recorded in the past 24 hours

There have been 649 new Covid-19 cases recorded in the past 24 hours according to the Department of Health.

The department's daily dashboard says that there have been 11 further deaths recorded in the past day, with seven of these occurring during the reporting period and four not.

In the past seven days there have been 5,208 new infections.

There are currently 346 inpatients in hospital with Covid-19, with 48 patients in intensive care and 41 using ventilators.

Belfast has seen the largest increase in new cases in the past seven days with 1,203 cases, followed by Mid-Ulster with 663.

Mid-Ulster has the highest infection rate in Northern Ireland at 449.4 per 100,000 people.

To date, 38,431 individuals have tested positive for the virus since the outbreak began.
