Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Full breakdown shows 29 new positive cases in past 24 hours

There have been no further Coronavirus deaths according to the Department of Health.

Figures released today show 29 further individuals have tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the number of positive cases in Northern Ireland to 6,217.

A total of 204 people have been given positive results for Coronavirus in the past seven days.

The Department's daily dashboard update shows there have been no further deaths reported in the past 24 hours reporting period, with 557 people having passed away.

DoH figures show there are currently eight Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital across Northern Ireland and three in intensive care.

A total of 1,515 patients have been discharged from hospital after being admitted with the virus.

The Belfast area has seen the largest increase in positive infections in the past seven days, with 49 people contracting the virus.

Belfast has had the highest number of positive cases with 1,484. Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon has seen 771 positive test results followed by Lisburn and Castlereagh with 553.

The death toll shown by the Department currently stands at 557, 162 of these in the Belfast area.

A total of 163,986 tests have been carried out with 6,217 people testing positive since the outbreak began.
