Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Full breakdown of Wednesday's Covid-19 figures

There has been one further Coronavirus death reported by the Department of Health in the past 24 hours.

Figures released today, Wednesday September 30, show 424 more people have tested positive for Covid-19 since yesterday.

This brings the number of positive cases in Northern Ireland to 11,693.

A total of 1,950 people have been given positive results for Coronavirus in the past seven days.

Figures also indicate 4,883 tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours.

The Department's daily dashboard update shows 579 people have passed away since the start of the pandemic here after testing positive for the virus.

There are currently 67 Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital across Northern Ireland and ten in intensive care.

A total of 1,735 patients have been discharged from hospital after being admitted with the virus.

The Derry City and Strabane area has seen the largest increase in positive infections in the past seven days, with 487 people contracting the virus.

Belfast has had the highest number of positive cases since the outbreak began with 2,920.

Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon has seen 1,342 positive test results followed by Derry City and Strabane, with 1,030.

A total of 350,314 tests have been carried out with 11,693 people testing positive since the outbreak began.
