Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Full breakdown of latest Covid-19 figures released by Department of Health

Coronavirus related deaths in Northern Ireland have risen to 542, according to the latest figures.

With regards to new cases, two individuals have tested positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours.

Tuesday's Department of Health report indicates the latest death was recorded in Antrim and Newtownabbey.

A total of 320 deaths have been recorded in hospitals here, 186 in residential/care homes, 21 in the community and a further 15 not recorded, today's DoH report states.

 376 samples were taken from National Testing Centres across the country.

Figures released today also broke down hospital admissions for individuals who have tested positive for Covid-19.

It shows that there are currently 41 inpatients across 18 hospital sites in Northern Ireland - and it notes 1,423 discharges.

At present there are four people in ICU in Northern Ireland with confirmed or suspected Covid-19.

To date Northern Ireland has 4,854 reported cases of Coronavirus.
