Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Full breakdown of latest Covid-19 figures

A total of 548 people have now died in Northern Ireland after contracting Coronavirus, according to the Department of Health's latest figures.

This follows the addition of one more hospital death which was reported between 10am yesterday and the same time today.

A total of 366 people lost to the virus were aged 80+, 157 between the ages of 60-79, 23 aged 40-59 and one person was between 20 and 39.

Friday's Department of Health report indicates that the district which the latest person to die was from, is not known.

The Department of Health has reported a total of 325 deaths in hospitals, 187 in residential/care homes, 21 in the community while the place where the remaining 15 people passed away was not recorded.

Four more people have also tested positive after an additional 1,538 people were swabbed for the virus across the region.

As of June 25, a total of 106,374 people had undergone tests for Covid19 in Northern Ireland with 130,796 tests processed in our labs from both Health Trusts and regional testing centres.

Positive results have been returned to 5,748 individuals.

Currently, 28 people who have Coronavirus are being treated at 18 hospital sites across the region - one of whom is in ICU.

A total of 1,453 people who had the virus have also been discharged.

In relation to the 173 care home outbreaks, 34 remain active and 122 have ended. There are also 17 suspected outbreaks.
