Coronavirus Northern Ireland full breakdown as number of positive patients hits 2,088

The number of people now confirmed to have Covid-19 in Northern Ireland has reached 2,088 - up 121 from yesterday.

The number of fatalities in the country has also sadly risen by six to 140.

Since yesterday, a further 577 people have been tested for the virus, bringing the total number of tests conducted here to 13,672.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance has now tested 190 people for the virus across the region.

Belfast continues to have the highest amount of positive cases with 649, according to the official statistics by the Public Health Agency.

Meanwhile, Fermanagh and Omagh now have the lowest amount of positive cases with 61.

Of 139 deaths with data, the median age was 81 years old of which 57 (41%) were female and 82 (59%) were male.

However, more females than males are confirmed to have Covid-19 in Northern Ireland with a 57% to 43% split.
