Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Department of Health reports 13 deaths in last 24 hours

A further 13 coronavirus related deaths have occurred in Northern Ireland over the last 24 hours.

The Department of Health reports the death toll here has now risen to 671 on Tuesday, October 27.

There has also been a daily rise in positive cases from Monday to Tuesday by 722.

And in the last seven days, a total of 6,493 individuals have tested positive for the virus.

The overall number of positive cases of Covid-19 in Northern Ireland since the beginning of the pandemic now stands at 35,554.

The Department's dashboard also reports that there are 38 confirmed Covid-19 patients currently in ICU, 33 of those patients are on ventilators.

The number of remaining ICU beds in hospitals across NI now stands at 14.
