Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Department of Health report one further Covid-19 death and 41 new cases

The Department of Health has today announced one further Covid-19 related death in Northern Ireland.

The death, according to the Department's dashboard occurred outside of the current reporting period, and was a male aged between 60-79.

The death toll here now stands at 559, as of 10am this morning.

And a further 41 positive cases of the virus have been recorded in the last 24 hours, say the DoH.

This rise in cases brings the total number of confirmed cases of the virus in Northern Ireland to 6,471.

The Department says 298 individuals have tested positive for the virus in the last seven days.

These most recent figures, issued within the last few minutes, indicate that a total of 182,318 individuals have been tested for Coronavirus since the start of the pandemic.
