Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Department of Health figures indicate 18 new deaths

Latest figures from the Department of Health show that 18 more people have died after testing positive for Coronavirus.

In its daily update, the Department said the ‘cumulative’ number of deaths as of 9.30am on Friday (May 1) is 365, up from 347 on Thursday.

The ‘Dashboard’, which appeared again today after earlier teething problems, indicated that in the last two days 87 more people have tested positive for Covid-19. It added that a total of 3,623 ‘individuals’ have tested positive.

The Department figures also show that there are currently 33 ICU beds in use by Covid-19 patients with 33 marked as ‘available’. A total of 49 ICU beds are in use by patients marked as ‘other’.
