Coronavirus Northern Ireland breakdown of positive cases

A total of 9,158 people have now been tested for Coronavirus in Northern Ireland.

The latest breakdown of statistics released by Public Health Agency this afternoon also sadly confirmed another three people have died from the virus here, taking the total number of deaths to 73.

As it stands, Northern Ireland has 1,255 confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 with a further 97 cases confirmed in the last 24 hours.

When broken down further by local government district, outside of Belfast, the second highest number of cases to date has been recorded in Lisburn and Castlereagh where there are currently 143 known positive cases.

Causeway Coast and Glens has the lowest number of positive cases recorded at present in Northern Ireland.

Of the 72 deaths recorded in Northern Ireland, the median age was 81 years old of which 38 (52%) were female and 34 (47%) were male.

To date Thursday, April 2 has seen the highest number of deaths recorded in one day.

Belfast Trust has carried out the most tests while NI Ambulance Service have also tested 138 patients for the virus.
