Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Breakdown of most recent figures from Department of Health

Today the Department of Health reported that a further 71 positive Coronavirus cases have been recorded in Northern Ireland.

This rise over the last 24 hours brings the total number of positive cases of the virus here to 6,647.

And overall, 194,002 individuals have been tested for Coronavirus, according to these figures.

The Department's daily dashboard indicates that over the last seven days, 276 individuals have tested positive for Covid-19.

Belfast has recorded the highest number of positive cases in the last week (76), followed by Mid and East Antrim (66), Antrim and Newtownabbey (33), Causeway Coast and Glens (26), Newry, Mourne and Down (12), Ards and North Down (9), Mid Ulster (9), Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (7) and Fermanagh and Omagh (1).

The dashboard shows that four cases in the last week are not attributed to any LGD.

Ten people with confirmed Covid-19 are currently in hospital. There have been 1,524 discharges, as per the DoH figures.

Today's dashboard also reports no patients with confirmed Coronavirus in ICU.

The Department reports no deaths related to the virus over the last 24 hours - the death toll is 559.
