Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Breakdown of local figures from Department of Health

Today, the Department of Health reported a further two Covid-19 related deaths in Northern Ireland.

This increase brings the total number of deaths linked to the virus here to 570.

According to the Department's dashboard, these deaths occured in hospital settings, and were patients aged 60-79.

The deaths were recorded in the Armagh, City and Banbridge and Belfast areas.

And a further 109 positive cases of the virus were confirmed in the last 24 hour reporting period.

In the last week, a total of 556 individuals have tested positive for the virus, says the Department.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, 286,761 individuals have been tested for Coronavirus.

The Belfast district has reported the highest number of positive cases (2,109) followed by Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon (1,031).

The full breakdown of testing details by LGD is below:

In terms of age ranges, over the last seven days more 20-39 year-olds have tested positive (230) than any other age range.

From September 6 to September 13, 123 individuals aged 40-59 have tested positive, 111 aged 0-19, 70 aged 60-79 and 22 aged 80 and above.

The Department of Health reports that two patients are in ICU after having tested positive for Covid-19 in Northern Ireland.
