Coronavirus Northern Ireland: Baby monitors urgently needed for patients in isolation

A Belfast hospital is calling for baby monitor donations to help nurses communicate with patients in isolation.

One nurse said: "I am nurse in the City Hospital and we are appealing for any unwanted baby monitors.

"We aim to use them for the Covid-19 patients in isolation.

"This is so we can communicate with them from outside the rooms reducing as much contact (as possible).

"The plan to to enter rooms and deal with patient needs in one go.

"You would not get the monitors returned and we can can arrange to collect them. Thanks so much if you're able to help."

Hospitals across Northern Ireland need the devices.
