The Department of Health has reported a further 26 coronavirus related deaths.
According to the latest update, 21 of the fatalities are said to have occurred within the current reporting period, and five outside of it.
The death toll in Northern Ireland now stands at 1,559, according to the DoH.
Friday's dashboard update reports a further 1,052 positive cases of the virus, bringing the total number of positive cases to 93,834 since the start of the pandemic.
Over the past seven days, the Department say 7,590 individuals have tested positive in Northern Ireland.
There are currently 840 Covid-19 confirmed patients in hospital and 63 in intensive care.
Meanwhile, the public is being warned against cross-border travel as Covid-19 levels remain high across the island of Ireland.
In a statement from both the Chief Medical Officers in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, they said they were "gravely concerned about the unsustainably high level of Covid-19 infection".
The pair voiced their concerns about the high levels of Covid-19 and urged everyone to stay home and only travel when truly necessary.
Dr Michael McBride and Dr Tony Holohan said: "As CMOs, we are gravely concerned about the unsustainably high level of Covid-19 infection we are experiencing on the island of Ireland. This is having a significant impact on the health of our population and the safe functioning of our healthcare systems.
"Unfortunately, due to the surge of infections we have experienced over the past few weeks, we have seen an increase in mortality figures and our health systems have been placed under immense pressure. We are likely to see ongoing increases in hospitalisations, ICU admissions and mortality in the weeks ahead."
