Coronavirus NI latest from DoH indicates no new deaths and 119 new cases

The latest figures from the Department of Health have indicated that no new coronavirus related deaths have been recorded here in the last 24 hours.

The report, released at 7pm this evening, Sunday, August 23 also indicates that a further 119 people here have tested positive for the virus and 5,774 tests have been carried out in the last 24 hours.

Within the last week, 374 people have tested positive for Covid-19, according to DoH records. 101 of those cases were recorded in the Mid and East Antrim area.

At present there are no Covid-19 cases in ICU and ten hospital inpatients with confirmed or suspected Coronavirus.

Earlier today, PSNI confirmed 60 officers are now self-isolating and being tested after eight of their colleagues tested positive for Covid-19 in the Antrim area this week.

Since the start of the pandemic here, the Department of Health have recorded 559 Covid-19 related deaths.
