Coronavirus NI latest figures show four further deaths according to DoH

The Coronavirus related death toll in Northern Ireland has risen to 1,124 today according to the latest figures released by the Department of Health.

The statistics released on Sunday afternoon show a further four people have sadly lost their lives here in the last 24 hours having contracted Covid-19.

A further 483 positive cases of the virus have also been confirmed across the country, with 2,410 people having been tested in the last 24 hours.

In the last seven days, 3,219 people have returned a positive result for Covid-19.

Mid and East Antrim has recorded the highest number of new cases in the last seven days (403), followed by Belfast with 384.

At present there are 29 people in ICU beds in hospitals here with confirmed Coronavirus, 24 of those patients are on ventilators.

There are currently 110 confirmed Covid-19 cases in care homes across Northern Ireland at present, that's four less than the previous seven days.
