Coronavirus NI full stats breakdown for the last 24 hours

Two further people in Northern Ireland have sadly passed away in the last 24 hours having tested positive for Covid-19, bringing the death toll here as a result of the virus to 610.

The latest deaths were recorded in the Belfast and Fermanagh and Omagh districts.

The DoH dashboard released on Saturday afternoon also recorded a further 1,031 new positive cases of the virus across Northern Ireland from a total of 4,686 tests which were carried out.

When broken down by local government area, Belfast has recorded the highest number of new cases in the last 24 hours (275), followed by Derry City and Strabane, (172). The fewest number of new cases was recorded in Fermanagh and Omagh (31).

In the last seven days, 6,891 new cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in Northern Ireland, bringing the overall total since the pandemic began to 26,208.

There are currently 27 Covid-19 patients in ICU in Northern Ireland, an increase of one patient since yesterday. 22 of those patients are on ventilators and 20 ICU beds remain unoccupied at present.

In Care Homes across Northern Ireland there are currently 72 confirmed Covid-19 cases with a further 10 suspected of having Coronavirus.
